Gianfranco Vento, born in 1975 in Rome, Italy, into a family led by a renowned psychiatrist, has cultivated a profound academic and professional journey in the realm of banking and finance. Growing up in the vibrant cultural and intellectual environment of Rome, Gianfranco developed a keen interest in economics, leading him to pursue an undergraduate degree in Economics at LUISS Guido Carli University, which he completed in 1999. His academic pursuits then took him to London, where he earned a Master’s in International Banking and Finance from Cass Business School. Driven by a passion for deeper knowledge and research, Gianfranco returned to Rome to complete his PhD in Banking and Finance at Sapienza University in 2004, followed by a postdoctoral study focusing on “Financial Features in Microfinance.” This extensive and diverse educational background laid a solid foundation for his subsequent contributions to academia and the financial sector.
